Worth Data Model LZ365-USB Bar Code Laser Scanner
The LZ365-USB is our top of the line, rugged, industrial grade barcode laser scanner. It can attach to any USB port on a computer running Windows® or macOS as a second keyboard. Scanned bar code data appears as though it has been typed in, so any program that can accept data from the keyboard will accept data from these laser scanners. Just scan a bar code and the data will appear wherever your cursor is placed.
This laser has improvements in both range, scanning speed, and optical reading sensitivity when compared with our LZ165-USB scanners. It is perfect for industrial, manufacturing, office, retail, pharmaceutical, and warehouse applications.

The rugged Worth Data LZ365-USB laser scanner utilizes a high speed laser scan engine plus our bar code decoder for instant bar code scanning. Our superior reading technology eliminates tedious hand entry of data - plus it reads poorly printed or damaged codes easily. The LZ365-USB has been completely redesigned with all new electronics and a faster more powerful CPU to make bar code scanning even better. Plus, it now has a distinctive blue illuminated trigger when powered up.
This high speed scanner has a laser beam that scans across the bar code at an amazing 100 times per second until a "good read" occurs, so reading is instantaneous. Data is then transmitted to the computer as though it has been keyed in, so it will work with any software.
Our optional hands-free stands are also available for use with these lasers to allow presentation scanning and the user can easy switch between hands-free and handheld modes.
We design and build these scanners in our California facility enabling us to produce the highest quality and best performing scanners on the market today. We are proud to be one of the only companies that still builds bar code scanners in the USA.
These scanners are designed to survive in tough industrial environments and feature our exclusive, ergonomic & lightweight black polycarbonate/ABS rugged housing, plus a protective silicone rubber bumper surrounding the gun head which adds even more durability and shock absorbing protection.
They are engineered to withstand multiple 5 foot drops to concrete with no failures or reduction in reading performance. In addition, they have a durable acrylic scratch resistant optical exit window that is recessed to prevent damage and insure long term scanning performance. The USB cable is field replaceable and is engineered to withstand over a million bends before failure.
Bar Code Scanning
The LZ365-USB reads all popular 1D bar codes including: UPC/EAN, UCC-EAN 128, Code 39, Full ASCII Code 39, Code 128, Codabar, MSI Plessey, GS1 DataBar variants (RSS-14), GS1-128, ITF Interleaved 2 of 5, Standard 2 of 5, Bookland EAN, and Code 93. The reader auto discriminates - so you can read any codes at any time you need to.
The LZ365-USB also has outstanding optics and can easily read a 100% UPC barcode at 13", a 10mil Code 39 at 10", and can also read very high density bar codes with a narrow bar as small as 3mil (.0030", .046mm) - equivalent to 20 CPI Code 39!
Hands Free Stands
You can use these scanners with our optional hands free stands for presentation scanning of items. This works perfectly for check out stations like libraries, tool desks and other locations where you just pass the item under the scanner to read without the need to pick up the scanner. You can also easily remove the scan gun from the stand, when needed, to scan larger items that won't fit under the stand.
The LZ365-USB has an all new optical sensor designed into the scanner providing much faster hands free scanning compared to the previous generations of Worth Data laser scanners.
These stands come in two versions: The S21 Stand (pictured on the right) offers a weighted base that holds the scan gun wherever you place it, while the S11 Stand is designed to be screwed down to a workstation, table, counter top, or even wall mounted. Both models feature an adjustable flexible gooseneck so that you can place the scanner in the perfect location for your scan needs.
3 Year Warranty
The LZ365-USB has a 3 year warranty, unlimited free technical support, and is only $219.00 including a USB Cable and a desk/wall mount. These scanners are built to last and are designed to provide accurate instant scanning today, tomorrow, and for years to come - all from a company that has been in the bar code business for over 30 years!
